Our Logo

New Peng Hiang was wisely named by the young Mr Khoo, who is the current Managing Director of the company. With his careful thoughts, every character is given a meaning and is aligned with the company’s value proposition.

Aligning with the first character of the brand, New Peng Hiang’s primary focus is in the innovation of new taste to the traditional delicacy. Over the years research and development, we have successfully launched more than a dozen of new bakkwa flavours, some of which have become the industry standard.

New Peng Hiang never compromises on the quality of the products as we produce only using the most premium ingredients. All our products go through stringent quality controls to ensure that the best quality products are delivered to our customers.

The combination of red and gold is used as they symbolize good fortune, blessing, and prosperity in the Chinese culture.

 

Milestones

Year 1984

New Peng Hiang Food Trading was founded.

Year 1997

Invested in a new and bigger factory in Singapore, 4,200 sq ft.

Year 1999

Increased productivity via redesigned and upgraded to semi-automated smoke chamber.

Year 2000

Productivity multi-fold via redesigned and upgraded to full-automation barbecue machines.

Year 2001

Exportation of goods to Hong Kong, China.

Year 2002

Exportation of goods to Indonesia.

Year 2006

Investment in Batam, Indonesia, in Bean City Bakery & Café.

Year 2007

Awarded HACCP Certification.

Year 2009

Change of company to New Peng Hiang Pte Ltd.

Opened 1st New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Tanjung Pinang, Indonesia.

Year 2010

Opened 2nd New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Batam, Indonesia.

Year 2011

Opened 3rd New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Year 2012

Opened 4th New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Batam, Indonesia.

Year 2013

Opened 5th New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Surabaya, Indonesia.

Year 2014

Opened 6th and 7th New Peng Hiang franchise outlet in Batam and Surabaya, Indonesia.

Exportation to Philippines.
